Pharmacy Technician Retail Specialist

About the role

The ambulatory pharmacy technician supports outpatient clinical pharmacists in each clinic. Responsibilities include benefits investigations, prescription processing, and patient care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Resolve patient issues and maintain patient profiles
• Process patient information and coordinate with centralized pharmacy staff for clinic refills
• Partner with pharmacists to address patient needs and optimize care

Requirements

• Registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
• PTCB or ExCPT certification required upon hire
• “Active” status must be attained within 30 days of certification expiration
• 2+ years pharmacy technician experience preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
