Responsibilities
- Recruit, orient, and supervise faculty members for the department
- Conduct observations and evaluations of faculty members
- Ensure student evaluations are completed and summaries are submitted to faculty
- Create and complete professional development plans for all program personnel
- Affirm correct scheduling and registration of returning students
- Assist with student orientations
- Participate in the budgeting process
- Review student records for progress and eligibility for graduation
- Revise and update curricula and master syllabi
- Assist with textbook evaluations and suggest changes
- Complete and submit assigned reports
- Assist with catalog reviews and self-studies for accrediting agencies
- Coordinate with the Graduate Services Director for externship placements
- Supervise externs and clinical sites
- Advise students on their academic progress
- Establish and maintain a high-performance team of staff
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of practical work experience in the field
- State-specific licensure as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (required)
- CPhT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) if required by state law
- Hospital experience with IV and compounding experience
