Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance, processing, and preparing medications and supplies under the direction of a Pharmacist.
• Works with multiple medication automation systems and delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas.
• Triage phone calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members.
• Works in complex pharmacy areas including satellites, sterile product compounding, controlled substance handling, and inventory management.
• Prepares supplies and medication, including complex sterile formulations under the direction of a Pharmacist.
• Handles controlled substances for pharmacy and patient care areas under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Delivers pharmacy prepared medications, controlled substances, and supplies to various nursing stations/patient care areas.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications.
• Completes all Corewell Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Associate's Degree in Pharmacy or related field.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan upon hire.
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician Temp - STATE_MI State of Michigan upon hire.
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan within 90 days of hire.
• CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB or ExCPT within 90 days of hire.
• Full license and National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
• Inpatient experience is a plus.
• Pharmacy hours are usually 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
• Shifts are usually 8.5 hours.
