Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

About the role

Step behind the counter as a pharmacy technician/apprentice and help build relationships, providing better health through joyful customer experiences. Our innovative pharmacies offer numerous learning and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, following state and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain and process prescriptions, and assist with cashiering duties.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues and answering questions.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
• Administer clinical services, such as collecting and labeling blood/urine samples, and assisting with coordination of clinical services.
• Develop strong relationships with key customers and maintain relationships with the local medical community.
• Ensure the pharmacy department is stocked, clean, and orderly.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in English.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through designated training program.
• Acquire continuing education credits.
• Maintain knowledge and skills in healthcare and pharmacy.
