Pharmacy Technician Part time

About the role

Fayetteville, Arkansas-based Springwoods Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This position works at least one day per week, filling in for PTO and time off. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Process prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems
• Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency
• Prepare and compound medications (including IV admixtures and sterile products) following hospital protocols and USP standards
• Process medication orders from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) with accuracy and urgency
• Deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units
• Maintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates
• Support medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery
• Comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED
• An Arkansas Pharmacy Technician License
• Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
• Proven effective communications skills; verbal and written

Preferred Qualification

• Experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy

Pay and Benefits

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
