Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Retail Float

About the role
The Pharmacy Technician I, under general supervision of a pharmacist, performs entry-level technical tasks within the Central Fill outpatient retail pharmacy. As a float, you will work across general areas of pharmacy practice, including medication preparation, dispensing, inventory control, and basic computer system operations.
Responsibilities
- Fills and delivers/dispenses medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist (50%).
- Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
- Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician scope of practice to the staff pharmacist or supervisor as needed (35%).
- Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
- Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately (15%).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Post-High-School Diploma or Certificate: Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- Less than 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a healthcare or retail setting preferred.
- CPHT – Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) required.
- PHAT – Licensed Pharmacy Technician (DORA) required.

Pay
$21.23 - $29.72 per hour.
