Pharmacy Technician - Order Packer

Key Responsibilities

• Meditation Preparation: Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing.
• Perform quality checks on prepared medications to ensure accuracy and compliance with prescriptions.
• Accurately document all medication preparation and inventory activities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies related to record-keeping and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain reports as required by the pharmacy manager.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy.
• Provide support for special projects and initiatives as directed by the pharmacy manager.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of new pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: KY Pharmacy Technician Certificate – can be obtained upon hire.
• Experience: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician desired but not required.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational and time-management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate weight (up to 20 pounds).
• Manual dexterity to handle and package medications.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position Monday through Friday, rotating Saturdays.
• 10:00 am - 6:30 pm; 10:30 am - 7:00 pm depending on business needs.
• NO nights or holidays.
• Overtime may be available during the week or as business dictates.
