Position Highlights

Position: Pharmacy Technician
Med Reconciliation
Location: Highland Park Hospital
Full Time: 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 Hour Shifts, 4 Shifts each Week (11am - 9:30pm, 12pm - 10:30pm), Rotating Every 3rd weekend (12pm - 10:30pm)
Required Travel: No

What You Will Do

Aid in the collection of Home Medication Histories for patients admitted to the hospital. This involves utilizing available resources to identify recent outpatient medication dispenses, conducting interviews with patients, contacting pharmacies, and accurately documenting the gathered information. This work will predominantly take place in the Emergency Department but may also involve inpatient floors.

What You Will Need

  • Education (Required): High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certifications (Required): Current License as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois
  • One of the following must be met:
    • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification or must obtain CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) within 90 days of hire
    • Successfully passed the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) examination pending certification
    • Current Pharmacy Technician license with “Student” designation issued by the State of Illinois
