Pharmacy Technician Medicine Reconciliation

Hourly pay range: $20.99 - $32.53. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

About the role

Full-time position (40 hours/week) with rotating evening shifts (11am - 9:30pm, 12pm - 10:30pm), Monday through Friday. 10-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week, with rotating third weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting home medication history of patients being admitted to the hospital using resources to identify recent outpatient medication dispenses.
• Conduct patient interviews and contact pharmacies to accurately document collected information.
• Work primarily in the Emergency Department but may also include inpatient floors.
• Operate under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• Current license as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois (required).
• One of the following must be met:
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification, or must obtain CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) within 90 days of hire.
  • Successfully passed the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) examination pending certification.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician license with “Student” designation issued by the State of Illinois.
