About the role
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This position requires current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) and national certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in providing patient care services
- Prepare medications according to physician orders and pharmacy protocols
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records
- Provide customer service to patients and staff
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Requirements
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 1 year of relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the SCBOP
- National certification by the PTCB
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
