Pharmacy Technician IV- Specialty Pharmacy

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified IV Ambulatory performs specialized functions to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. This role oversees workflows and regulatory standards under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains pharmacy workflow, including compounding hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications and distributing medication in compliance with current standards.
• Obtains complete and accurate medication histories based on organizational standards.
• Serves as a reference and mentor for other pharmacy technicians, including training and orienting new employees.
• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Communicates effectively with team members inside and outside the pharmacy, providing quality customer service.
• Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 7 years of experience (Required). Successful completion (graduation) of a CH-accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (Required).
