About the role
This is a per diem position. The Pharmacy Technician role will function in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing their job responsibilities in their respective pharmacy practice area. The role will assist pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth.
- Only perform competencies that they have completed in their knowledge-based courses and on the job training and are qualified to perform alongside a technician trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience: None required.
