Pharmacy Technician, Informatics

Job Summary

Under the direction of Pharmacy Leadership, this role is responsible for supporting the pharmacy's operations and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications and healthcare products.

Essential Functions

• Accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Select the correct medications, measure the appropriate quantities, and label prescriptions correctly.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of medications and supplies, monitor expiration dates, and assist with organizing the pharmacy's inventory.
• Receive and interpret prescription orders, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
• Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication dosages.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a healthcare or retail pharmacy setting 5-7 years preferred
• Pharmacy Technician [State License] - Generic - HR Only required
• Pharmacy Technician Certification [CPhT] - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
