Pharmacy Technician III

About the role

Provides pharmaceutical care services under supervision, prioritizing medication orders, preparing medications for dispensing, and managing distribution and stock in patient care areas. Performs data collection, interpretation, and supports quality programs. Also handles inventory management, maintains automation equipment, and educates staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Practices the Medication-Use Process: handling, preparing, distributing, charging, and disposing of medications safely and accurately.
• Manages pharmacy activities effectively.
• Supports inventory management and maintains automation equipment.
• Provides education and training when appropriate.
• Processes and prepares sterile products for dispensing.
• Contributes to operational goals, programs, and reporting.
• Completes assigned tasks and objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient information processing, high-risk compounding, medication history, NICU/Pediatric care, or related fields with certification or specialized training.
• Preferred experience with Microsoft Office, automated pharmacy systems, and hospital pharmacy.
• Effective communication skills, with ability to record information accurately.
• Licensure with PTCB certification and pharmacy registration; enrolled in or completed a recognized technician training program.
