About the role

The Pharmacy Technician II-Specialty Home Care Pharmacy position is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services to patients in home care settings. This includes but is not limited to compounding medications, dispensing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Compounding and dispensing medications according to established protocols and policies.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medication records.
• Providing education to patients and caregivers regarding medication usage and management.
• Assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician from a recognized organization.
• Experience in a home health or specialty pharmacy setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and drug interactions.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
