Responsibilities

• Accurately perform all advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner.
• Perform duties associated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets and other specialized duties as assigned by the pharmacy management team.
• Accurately perform audits (e.g., anesthesia, overrides, billing).
• Assist pharmacists in clinical reviews (e.g., medication reconciliation, triaging reports).
• Compound chemotherapy preparation per established protocol.
• Troubleshoot Automated Dispensing Cabinets issues (e.g., orders not coming across, drawer failures, medication jams, communication failures).
• Reconfigure Automated Dispensing Cabinets and perform build and set-up functions.
• Under direction, adjust medication minimum and maximum levels.
• Use the Medications Not Loaded report to load appropriate medications in Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
• Under direction, perform Automated Dispensing Cabinets expiration audits.
• Conduct narcotic discrepancy audits; investigate discrepancies to determine if true discrepancies and complete audit sheets and/or incidence reports as appropriate.
• Monitor ADT activities and communicate any problems to the appropriate individual.
• Accurately package and prepare medications for dispensing as assigned.
• Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician License or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Pay

Hourly wage estimate: $20.35 – $28.49 per hour. The estimate represents the typical wage range of candidates hired; actual salary may vary based on specific skills, years of experience, and internal equity comparisons. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
