Pharmacy Technician II - FT - Days/Evenings - Up to $5K Sign on Bonus - MRHS

About the role

The registered and certified pharmacy technician II works under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists to provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the pharmacy department. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5K, contingent upon the applicant's qualifications and subject to certain eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs prescription data entry in pharmacy system when applicable.
• Processes medication charges/credits when applicable.
• Maintains and supports medication distribution systems and distribution channels, including automated dispensing cabinets, code carts, trays and kits.
• Assists with orientation and training of new pharmacy technicians and students.
• Prepares, fills, receives, delivers, stocks and restocks medication inventory and supplies for the pharmacy department and drug storage areas.
• Repackages bulk medications.
• Completes other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations and within the pharmacy technician scope of practice.
• Aids in customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones, managing work queues and completing medication histories.
• Prepares non-sterile compounded medications, including hazardous medications and cross-trains in more advanced functions when deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
