Pharmacy Technician II
About the role
The Pharmacy Technician II position at St Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington, plays a crucial role in the pharmacy department. The role involves preparing, distributing, and delivering medications, performing clerical tasks, maintaining medication and supply stock levels, operating and maintaining automated medication delivery systems, participating in quality assurance programs, and being trained and certified in IV admixture preparation.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels.
- Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
- Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
- Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.
Requirements
- A high school graduate, or equivalent, upon hire.
- 6 months of compounding of IV medication, or equivalent, upon hire.
- A Pharmacy Technician license in Washington, or equivalent, upon hire.

Pay
The posted compensation range of $27.65 - $48.05 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
