Pharmacy Technician II
Shift times for this role are 3×12s: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM.
About the role

As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will perform advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions accurately and in a timely manner. You may also be responsible for duties involving Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and other specialized tasks assigned by the pharmacy management team.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate relevant theoretical knowledge and apply known solutions to a variety of predictable problems.
- Perform processes requiring well-developed skills, discretion, and judgment.
- Interpret available information using discretion and judgment.
- Maintain medication inventory, storage, and security per regulatory requirements.
- Accurately prepare and maintain documentation logs, work records, and safety checks.
- Interact with hospital personnel in person and by phone.
- Perform basic billing functions and required calculations accurately.
- Safely compound and label medications and parenteral admixtures.
- Accurately package and prepare medications for dispensing.
- Transport medications and pharmacy supplies in a timely manner to appropriate areas.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required.
- IV Certification required.
- National Certification (CPhT) preferred.
- Active Registered Pharmacy Technician, as per state requirements, in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
- Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- State Registration, Licensed Pharmacy Technician, or State License Pharmacy Intern.
