About the role

This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and data enter moderately complex prescriptions and troubleshoot adjudication issues.
  • Contact healthcare provider offices to clarify prescription details, secure missing information, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Work with urgency and attention to detail to ensure orders meet compliance, safety, and quality standards.
  • Verify member information and input data for pharmacists.
  • Educate members on pharmacy-based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.
  • Work closely with pharmacists and provider offices to prevent delays in therapy and provide exceptional service experience.
  • Resolve grievances and appeals issues.
  • Respond to inquiries from physicians, sales teams, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits.
  • Process specialty prescriptions orders with accuracy, efficiency, professionalism, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and follow internal standard operating procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality lifesaving pharmacy care for patients with complex or medical conditions.

Requirements

  • Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States.
