About the role
The Pharmacy Technician will perform most of the technical functions involved in the medication use process. They will assist the Pharmacist in preparing and compounding pharmaceutical products, assessing inventory, and resolving insurance claim issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and compounding pharmaceutical products
- Absess inventory of pharmacy products
- Resolve insurance claim issues as they arise
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Active ALBOP Pharmacy Tech certification required
- CPhT certification required
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain a professional and customer-centric composure in difficult or challenging situations
- Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency
- Ability to effectively communicate with people throughout the organization
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations
- Proficient in pharmaceutical calculations, the metric system, and cash register use (if applicable)
- Competent with pharmacy systems and related technology and equipment
- Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range
- Minimal noise levels
- Continuous exposure to computer work
- Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock
- Som exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks
- Some exposure to radiation
Skills
