About the role

The Pharmacy Technician prepares, packages, documents, and labels drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist. They also perform data entry and filing, drug purchasing and inventory control procedures, and participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist.
  • Perform all required data entry and filing associated with the process.
  • Perform functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures.
  • Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.
