Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient Pharmacy
United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team. This role supports the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintains inventory, and provides excellent customer service under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Ideal for individuals beginning their pharmacy career and looking to gain hands-on experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting.

Primary department: Pharmacy Services, UHS Wilson Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Functions as a generalist, providing support and ensuring an ongoing and efficient pharmacy department by assisting in the processing of medications or prescriptions to all patients and appropriate patient care areas.
- Assists in the maintenance of a neat and clean dispensing area and performs functions as necessary in the daily routine of the pharmacy department.
- Assists the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Enters patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system accurately.
- Labels and packages medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
- Maintains a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum required).
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB) within eighteen (18) months of employment (minimum required).
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program (preferred).

Pay
$17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Rotational shift with 40 scheduled weekly hours.
