Pharmacy Technician I

Job Description Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a Certified Oncology Pharmacy Tech to join our team! Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs all accountabilities associated with compounding, preparing, distributing and charging of medications. Assist in the filling and delivery of medication orders, maintaining automated dispensing cabinet stock, and assist with various duties as assigned. Pharmacy Technicians who have completed the required education and training may administer vaccines approved by the respective state licensing board. Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. OR 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with flex to stay late or come in early occasionally based on patient needs.Primary location will be Plaza, but could help out and Saint Luke's North, South, or East.Pick, fill and deliver medication orders and Omnicell stock to appropriate locationsSterile compounding medicationsHandling chemotherapy/hazardous drugsRestocking automated dispensing cabinetPrepack drugs and compound medications including sterile products, chemotherapy, and special dosage forms (topicals, oral liquids, etc.)Assist with maintaining stock supplies in pharmacy department as neededAnswer the phone/ front window, and assist with questions and requestsAttend all department and technician meetingsCertified vaccine pharmacy technicians may administer vaccines to patients under the supervision of a pharmacist Pharmacy Technicians for Saint Luke’s Advanced Care Pharmacy may drive and deliver medications.
