About the role
The Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment provides day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in a complex specialty/mail order pharmacy under the direction of the Pharmacist. Responsibilities include delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications and orders, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies, and in a professional and timely manner.
- Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency, and Fairview requirements.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies, and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and accurate inventory records, completing cycle counts and reconciling as appropriate.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program within the first year of employment.
- Ability to become registered as a technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program.
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
- Pharmacy Technician certification in Minnesota.
