Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America – Saliba’s Extended Care Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is seeking a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician II to join our team. We deliver customized medication management solutions to support healthcare organizations serving seniors and individuals with complex care needs. About the role

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to our customers.

Schedule

  • Sunday: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm
  • Monday - Thursday: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Rotate and work within assigned pharmacy workstations based on pharmacy needs, to safely and accurately fill resident prescriptions.
  • Accurately fill, label, and package a variety of dosage forms in accordance with legal requirements and pharmacy standards.
  • Provide cross coverage for multiple technician responsibilities to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Understand requirements and procedures for handling, distribution, inventory control, and security of controlled substances.
  • Exercise proficiency across all Fulfillment workflow areas.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles, assisting in physical inventory, and keeping inventory neat and arranged in order.
  • Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements).
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB).
  • 1+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience).

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Pharmacy software experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire about inaccuracies.
