Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry

About the Role

Works under direct supervision of a pharmacist, following standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Responsible for all aspects related to entering medication orders for various facilities and ensuring that all Third-Party claims are billed properly.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service and problem resolution to assigned facilities
• Accurate data entry of patient profiles and medications
• Maintains accurate information for patients and facilities
• Bills and credits each facility appropriately and accurately each month
• Maintains reasonable production as determined by supervisor
• May travel to individual homes for meetings or drug exchanges
• May assist in orienting and training new employees
• Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Available and on-time for scheduled work shifts
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required
• High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
• AS Degree or higher in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
• Hospital, Long-term Care, or Retail pharmacy experience (strongly preferred)
• 3-6 months experience as a pharmacy technician
• Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician (Vermont employees)
• Registered with the State of New Hampshire as a Pharmacy Technician (New Hampshire employees)
• Registered with the State of Ohio as a Pharmacy Technician (Ohio employees only)

Pay

$14.56 - $19.45 an hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
