Pharmacy Technician - Credena Pharmacy - Providence Anchorage

About the role

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. The position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hour Day shifts, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision.
• Communicates with and services the needs of the Pharmacy clientele.
• Performs all typical duties of a retail, mail order, specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Alaska Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures.
• Has advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy (advanced skills include specific certifications such as immunization administration, MTM).

Requirements

• Alaska Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
• 1 year of experience (2080 hours) of pharmacy practice.
• 1 year of Customer Service.
• For internal promotion candidate must be competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician: (external candidates are required to have the equivalent experience).

• Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program (preferred).

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
