Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory and ordering functions.
• Understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Desired previous comparable experience.
• Equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk.
• EPRN familiarity.
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Understand and follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure best value for the customer and the company.
• Answer phone and triage calls, answering inquiries appropriately.
• Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines.
• Understand and follow company guidelines on the operation of the cash register and cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check transactions.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
