Pharmacy Technician

A Day in the Life

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support our pharmacies, pharmacists, and communities. You will create an easy, friendly, and exciting pharmacy experience for your patients. You will also have the opportunity to promote and provide immunizations (where allowed by law).

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and other pharmacy staff in providing quality patient care.
• Prepare medications according to prescription orders and safety guidelines.
• Assist patients with their medication needs, including answering questions about medications and side effects.
• Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
• Handle inventory management tasks, such as restocking shelves and maintaining records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as filling out forms and updating patient records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to obtain proper licenses (where required by local state requirements).

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Skills

• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and drug interactions.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
