About the role
Rx Unlimited is hiring for a Pharmacy Technician position with convenient hours of Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (no weekends).
Responsibilities
- Handling inbound and outbound phone communications with patients.
- Assist the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Maintaining patient and pharmacy records in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Reaching out to patients to obtain information required to process prescription refills and new prescription verifications.
- Responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties.
- Research and follow up on unpaid insurance claims and billing problems.
- Knowledge of medical billing/collections practices and basic medical coding.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations: Day Supply.
Requirements
- Current California Board of Pharmacy Technician licensure in good standing.
- Knowledge of generic and trade drug names and pharmacy terminology.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- Minimum 2-year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX systems.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (no weekends).
Pay
$30–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
