Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Provides world-class pharmacy services while assisting the Pharmacist in assigned areas including drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, prescriptions, and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Assists in drug procurement and preparation
• Maintains inventory control
• Distributes medications
• Dispenses prescriptions
• Ensures superior maintenance of general pharmacy operations

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent GED
• Successful completion or enrollment in an Indiana Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training program within one year of employment
• Successful completion of high school Algebra course
• Completion of clerical and science courses preferred
• Basic computer skills desired
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a State Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern for the State where services will be provided
