PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares compounded or other pharmaceuticals at the direction of and under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Performs clerical functions to support smooth administrative operation of the pharmacy, including record maintenance, billing, phone reception, and counter reception, and/or other clerical functions as directed.
• May run occasional errands as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and employee information and uses discretion.
• Complies with PCI standards and other company policies and procedures for payment card acceptance and security.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician: High school graduate or equivalent certification, current registration, and certification from a pharmacy technician training program.
• Pharmacy Intern/Extern: Licensed by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy, currently enrolled in a pharmacy program.
