Pharmacy Technician
About the role
Jerry’s seeks a part-time union employee to assist in various tasks within the pharmacy department. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with experience in a pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities
- Make lasting connections with customers
- Stock, assemble, and distribute medications quickly and efficiently
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols
- Record and file physician’s orders and prescriptions
- Train as a cashier (accuracy is crucial)
- Collaborate with the team on all necessary tasks
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Willingness to work varying hours from Sunday to Saturday
- Ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs., push/pull up to 20 lbs., reach, stand, turn, squat, stoop, walk, and occasionally lift/carry over 10 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with scanners, registers, check approval machines, and coupon machines
- Good judgment, decision-making skills, social skills, verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
Qualifications
- Experience working in a pharmacy department (2-3 years preferred)
- Knowledge of maintaining customer confidentiality and removing outdated drugs
- Desire to grow career and continue learning

Progressive scale up to $18.00 / hour, based on experience.
Schedule
Varying hours, Sunday through Saturday.
