Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Jerry’s seeks a part-time union Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This position offers a progressive hourly wage starting at $17.25, based on experience. Hours are flexible, covering Sunday through Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Make lasting connections with our customers
• Stock, assemble, and distribute medications quickly and efficiently
• Protect customer and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
• Maintain records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions
• Train as a cashier (accuracy is crucial)
• Work collaboratively with the team on all necessary tasks to ensure an awesome department
• Be part of a dedicated team that values their jobs, arrives promptly, and works as scheduled

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Willingness to work occasional physical tasks including lifting/carrying over 10 lbs., squatting, stooping/bending, walking
• Ability to perform frequent physical tasks such as lifting/carrying to 10 lbs., pushing/pulling to 20 pounds, reaching, standing, turning
• Knowledge of maintaining customer confidentiality and removing outdated drugs
• Desire to grow career and continue learning

Qualifications

• Experience working in a pharmacy department (2-3 years preferred)
• Friendliness and outgoing personality, promoting customer service for the entire team

Skills

• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong social skills and verbal interaction
• Good memory and ability to memorize information
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math
• Computer skills
