Pharmacy Technician
About the role
Jerry’s seeks a part-time union employee to assist in various tasks within the pharmacy department. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with the ability to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Make lasting connections with customers
- Stock, assemble, and distribute medications quickly and efficiently
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols
- Record and file physician’s orders and prescriptions
- Train as a cashier (accurate registers are essential)
- Collaborate with the team on all necessary tasks to ensure an outstanding department
- Participate in a dedicated team committed to enjoying their jobs, arriving on time, and following schedules
Requirements
- Willingness to work with customers and colleagues
- Experience in a pharmacy department (2-3 years preferred)
- Knowledge of maintaining customer confidentiality and removing outdated drugs
- Motivation to grow professionally and continuously learn

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
Skills
- Customer service skills
- Physical stamina for lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to operate equipment such as scanners, registers, check approval machines, and coupon machines
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities
- Good social skills and verbal interaction
- Memory and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
Pay
A progressive scale up to $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
Varying hours, Sunday through Saturday.
Other
Physical requirements include frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 20 lbs., reaching, standing, turning, squatting, stooping, walking, and occasional lifting/carrying over 10 lbs., squatting, stooping/bending, and walking.
