Pharmacy Technician

Location: Jerry's Foods Hudson

About the role

This position is part-time and union classified, with a progressive scale starting at $23.55 per hour based on experience. Hours are Sunday through Saturday, with varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Make lasting connections with our customers
• Stock, assemble, and distribute medications quickly and efficiently
• Protect customer and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
• Maintain records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions
• Train as a cashier (accuracy in registers is important)
• Work with the team on all tasks necessary to have an awesome department
• Be a part of a dedicated team that enjoys their job, arrives promptly for shifts, and works as scheduled

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Willingness to make lasting connections with customers
• Experience working in a pharmacy department (2-3 years preferred)
• Knowledge of maintaining customer confidentiality and removing outdated drugs
• Desire to grow career and continue learning

• Physical abilities: lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 20 lbs., reaching, standing, turning
• Equipment operation: scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine
• Mental abilities: judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, computer skills
