Pharmacy Technician

Basic Function

As part of the patient care team, the pharmacy technician provides assistance to the pharmacist. This position requires a commitment to continually support pharmacy services in order to provide quality care and efficient operations while considering fiscal responsibility.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician Trainee, or Pharmacy Intern, through the PA State Board of Pharmacy
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
• Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician’s training program (preferred)
• One year experience in either a Retail or Hospital Pharmacy Setting as a Pharmacy Technician
