Pharmacy Technician

Job Purpose and Summary

We help our customers and patients navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner. Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise.

Responsibilities

• Follow company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Support pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Show empathy and genuine care by creating heartfelt and personalized moments, offering immunizations, and demonstrating compassionate care
• Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and as directed by pharmacy leadership
• Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
• Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and volunteering at offsite clinics
• Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles, and adhere to CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety

Requirements

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
• Must have state-level licensure and national certification requirements, which vary by state

Qualifications

• Must have 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting preferred
• Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs

Pay and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $16.50 - $25.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with all federal, state and local laws.
