Pharmacy Technician
About the Role
A Pharmacy Technician contributes to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual. The role enhances the reputation of AHF by being sensitive to the stigma of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the challenges of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patient anonymity and privacy. You will advocate for AHF’s top initiatives while ensuring the organization’s Core Values and Mission remain central to all actions.
AHF operates in a dynamic environment, requiring adaptability to provide the best experience for clients and a collaborative workplace for employees. The Pharmacy Technician will work as part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain strong working relationships with healthcare providers, staff, and referral sources, facilitating the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
Requirements
- State pharmacy technician license (if applicable)
- PTCB certification (preferable)
- IMZ certification (preferable)
- CPR certification (preferable)
