About the role

As a Remote Pharmacy Customer Care Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for home dialysis pharmacy patients and customers. You'll help ensure prescriptions are processed accurately, orders are delivered on time, and patients receive the support they need throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

  • Process pharmacy orders accurately and efficiently via telephone.
  • Verify prescription and patient information to ensure safe and compliant order fulfillment.
  • Provide professional support regarding medications, shipments, orders, and account inquiries.
  • Handle customer concerns with empathy and urgency while identifying effective solutions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to pharmacy regulations and HIPAA requirements.
  • Cook up prescription-related activities to ensure accurate processing and delivery.
  • Process returns and customer credits according to company policies.
  • Research shipment status and investigate delivery concerns using carrier tools such as UPS.
  • Partner with Routing, Transportation, Sales, and Credit & Collections teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Cook up expedited and alternate shipments for urgent or back-ordered needs.
  • Navigate a high-volume call environment supporting approximately 2,000 calls daily.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint to document interactions and collaborate with internal teams.

Requirements

  • Active national Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT).
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license/registration in ONE of the following states: Illinois (IL), Wisconsin (WI), Indiana (IN), Florida (FL).
  • Minimum 2–4 years of call center experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or clinical setting.
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Reliable high-speed wired internet connection.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience supporting specialty pharmacy, dialysis, infusion, or healthcare patients.
  • Strong multitasking skills and experience working in high-volume service environments.

Schedule

Monday–Friday Fully Remote Customer Care operating hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST. Must be flexible to work assigned shifts during operating hours and remain available during closing shifts until all customer calls have been addressed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.67 - $21.15/hr. Requirements Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
