Pharmacy Technician / Apprenticeship

Role Overview

This position involves assisting pharmacists in a patient-centric pharmacy environment, utilizing pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service. The technician will support clinical services, inventory management, and administrative tasks, aiming to deliver a positive patient experience and maintain compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists under supervision in dispensing medications and managing prescriptions.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting, and building relationships with customers.
• Handle clerical duties, including processing claims, managing inventory, and maintaining store appearance.
• Support clinical services, such as sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain adherence to company policies, including proper documentation and error reporting.
• Participate in training programs to earn and maintain PTCB certification and stay current with industry developments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Fluent in English (excluding Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: experience in retail or pharmacy, good math and computer skills, and PTCB certification.
