Pharmacy Technician / Apprenticeship

About the role

This position involves assisting pharmacists in a patient-centric pharmacy environment, utilizing the latest technology to support pharmacy operations and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, medication verification, and patient information management in accordance with regulations.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients, resolving issues, and fostering strong relationships.
• Handle cash register transactions, process third-party claims, and perform clerical duties.
• Participate in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and support outreach efforts to healthcare providers.
• Complete training to earn or maintain PTCB certification, engage in continuing education, and stay updated on pharmacy practices.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (excluding Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: prior retail experience, familiarity with pharmacy systems, inventory control, and math skills for prescription accuracy.
• Prior experience with Walgreens and PTCB certification are advantageous.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $16.50 to $20 per hour.
