Pharmacy Technician - Ambulatory, Part Time

Responsibilities
- Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.
- Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.
- Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy.
- Aid in the preparation of extemporaneous and bulk compounded prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
- Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
- Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription areas, and remove expiring products.
- Support multi-pharmacy needs in assigned areas as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Six months of related experience OR completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program
- Hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
- Preferred qualifications: Six months of hospital experience
Skills
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, reach, stretch, stoop, and sit for prolonged times; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.
Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay
Pay Range: Minimum hourly: $21.50, Maximum hourly: $31.00
Schedule
Day/evening rotation from 6:45AM – 8:15PM, with weekend and holiday availability.
