Pharmacy Technician - Ambulatory Infusion, Hospital Drive

About the role

The Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy Technician will report to the ambulatory infusion manager and provide distributive pharmacy services primarily to outpatients of the Medical University clinics. This position addresses the needs of ambulatory infusion patients and ensures timely and appropriate dispensing of infusion medication to patients for assigned areas. The role requires proficiency in preparing hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services to outpatients of the Medical University clinics.
• Ensure timely and appropriate dispensing of infusion medication to patients for assigned areas.
• Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
• Address the needs of ambulatory infusion patients.
• Cover other ambulatory infusion pharmacy operations as needed.

Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• 2 years of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP)
• National certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required and must be maintained
