Pharmacy Technician Advocate
Location: Chattanooga, TN | Facility: Alexian PACE | Department/Specialty: PACE Pharmacy | Schedule: PRN (as needed)
About the role
Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support to pharmacists. Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals, providing information and support as needed at Alexian PACE. Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed.
- Refill, maintain, and monitor automated dispensing systems.
- Prepare medication orders, maintain pharmacy inventory, and repackage bulk medications.
- Receive, organize, and properly store incoming pharmacy supplies.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. (Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.)
- Active pharmacy technician license/registration with the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or PTCB).
- PACE or LTC experience.
