Pharmacy Technician -Aberdeen - Part Time
Job Summary
Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. Assist with inventory management. Perform unit dose dispensing, IV admixtures, compounding, and automated dispensing devices. Ensure equipment is functioning properly and assist in resolving equipment maintenance and repair issues. Provide pharmaceutical care to patients following established regulations, standards, and practices. Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in using multiple computer programs.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- South Dakota: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the SD Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days from the date of hire.
- Technician certification in certain roles may be required as of September 12, 2024, as approved by the Board.

Schedule
Part time, 8 hours varied shifts (630a-230p, 8a-430p or 11a-730p Mon-Fri or 7a-530p Sat/Sun/Holidays), with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week and opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week. Weekend rotation of working once every 5 weeks.
Pay
$18.50 - $29.00 per hour.
