Pharmacy Tech - Team Lead

About the role

Oversees pharmacy technician staff functions predominantly in the Cancer Center and assists with ambulatory care infusion centers, and investigational drug services (IDS). Provides technical direction and assists in organizing workflow at the individual pharmacy location. Creates schedules and vacation coverage for technicians. Provides technician job training, development & mentoring; monitors new pharmacy technician progress; and provides recommendations for annual performance evaluations. Provides technical staff leadership resource for problem resolution, technician project management, and quality control/quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• A minimum of two years’ pharmacy technician experience required. One year prior Mayo Pharmacy Technician II experience preferred.
• Completes continuing education necessary for maintenance of certification.
• Knowledge of pharmacy and medical terminology with ability to read and interpret physician prescriptions/orders.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills.

Compensation Detail

$25.21 - $36.82 / hour; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
