About the role
The Pharmacy Technician Support Specialist supports daily pharmacy operations, maintains efficient workflow, provides exceptional customer service, guides staff in standardized work practices, oversees pharmacy quality control activities, ensures compliance with best-practice standards, and serves as a resource for Pharmacy Information Technology systems and related technology functions.

Requirements
- Registration as Pharmacy technician (license) with the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
- Current national Pharmacy Technician Certification or national certification complete within 6 months from the hire date.
- Three years of institutional Pharmacy Technician experience in all key areas.
- Knowledge of the laws involved in hospital pharmacy practice.
- One year ADM or equivalent administration required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated competency in basic pharmaceutical calculations.
- Able to type 25 wpm and have previous computer experience including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Two years Pyxis or equivalent administration desired.
