Pharmacy Tech Specialist - Oncology- 1.0 FTE- Days

At ProHealth Care, you'll be part of a vibrant and welcoming culture where exceptional patient care is our priority. Our pharmacy tech specialists play a crucial role in our three cancer center pharmacies, with opportunities to rotate between Pewaukee, Mukwonago, and Oconomowoc campuses.

Responsibilities

- Performs complex, specialized pharmaceutical duties for the pharmacy department, working under direct supervision of Registered Pharmacists and Pharmacy Management. - Prepares and distributes medications as directed by prescriptions. - Assists in maintaining accurate inventory records. - Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations regarding pharmaceuticals.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent. - Valid WI Driver's License in good standing. - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required. - Six months of sterile IV preparation and/or experience preparing chemotherapy/hazardous medication/biologics, required for Oncology Specialist positions.

Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication skills.

Skills

- Proficiency in using pharmacy software. - Knowledge of pharmacology and medical terminology. - Ability to handle hazardous materials safely.

Schedule

- Days schedule. - Weekend and holiday rotation, 1 out of every 5 shifts. - Hours may vary from 0600 to 1800, depending on opening or closing shifts.
